As we turn the page on 2025 and step into the fresh possibilities of 2026, I find myself reflecting on the power of stories—the ones we tell, the ones we live, and the ones we've yet to discover.
There's something beautifully symbolic about New Year's resolutions. We craft narratives about who we want to become, setting intentions that shape our personal stories for the months ahead. This year, I invite you to consider a resolution that connects you more deeply with others: improving your storytelling.
Whether you're sharing memories with family, presenting ideas at work, or performing on stage, the ability to tell a compelling story is a gift that keeps on giving. And what better way to honor that resolution than by diving deep into the craft itself?
Dive Deep into the Art of Story: Join Our Second Annual Book Club!
There's something magical about gathering with fellow story lovers to explore what makes a narrative truly sing. That's why I'm thrilled to invite you to the Let Me Tell Ya! Book Club's second annual adventure—this time, we're diving into Karen Eber's insightful book, The Perfect Story.
Whether you're a seasoned storyteller, just starting your journey, or simply curious about the craft that connects us all, this six-week exploration is designed with you in mind.
What We're Reading: The Perfect Story by Karen Eber offers a rich exploration of storytelling's power and technique. Over six Sunday afternoons, we'll journey through all 18 chapters together, tackling three chapters each week. You'll receive a reader's guide and thoughtful discussion questions to deepen your understanding and spark meaningful conversation.
When We're Meeting: Six Sundays from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm Eastern Time, starting January 4, 2026 through February 8, 2026. Join us via Zoom from wherever you're most comfortable—cozy couch, favorite coffee shop, or home office.
Who Should Join: Storytellers of any level are welcome! Whether you're performing on stages, sharing tales around the dinner table, or dreaming of finding your storytelling voice, there's a place for you in this circle. The Let Me Tell Ya! Book Club exists to help participants learn more about the art and tradition of oral storytelling in a supportive, engaging environment.
The Investment:
Full series (all 6 sessions): $18 —the best value and the most impactful way to experience the journey
Single session: $4 —because we understand life gets busy, and we'd rather have you join us when you can than miss out entirely
While we encourage committing to all six sessions for the deepest learning experience, we recognize that schedules can be unpredictable. Come when you can, and bring your insights, questions, and curiosity.
What You'll Need: A copy of The Perfect Story by Karen Eber (available through major booksellers)—please purchase your copy before our first session on January 4, 2026.

Picture this: Sunday afternoon, your favorite beverage in hand, surrounded by a community of people who love stories as much as you do. We'll laugh, we'll discover, we'll challenge each other's thinking, and we'll grow together as storytellers.
This is more than a book club—it's a masterclass in understanding what makes stories stick, resonate, and transform both teller and listener.
I can't wait to explore The Perfect Story with you. Let's make this second annual book club even better than the first, and let's make 2026 the year we all become better storytellers!
