The Stories We Almost Forgot to Tell

ree

There's something about October that makes stories stir. Maybe it's the season of transformation—the trees letting go of what they've held all year. Perhaps that's an invitation for us to release the stories we've been keeping tucked away.

Your "Ordinary" Story Is Probably Extraordinary

Here's what we've learned: that anecdote you think is "too small" to matter? It's probably remarkable in ways you can't yet see. That memory that makes you laugh every time? It deserves to be heard by more than your bathroom mirror.

The Let Me Tell Ya! Storytelling Guild exists for exactly this—to be the place where your almost-told stories finally find their voice.

How We Work Our Magic

Forget criticism. When you share with the guild, you're not stepping into a spotlight for judgment. You're entering a workshop where fellow storytellers become your collaborators.

We ask three powerful questions:

  • What made us feel something? We highlight the moments that resonated—when your words painted pictures so vivid we forgot we were listening.

  • Where did we lose the thread? With kindness, we point out places where clarity might help. Not because it's broken, but because we want to follow you all the way to the end.

  • What do we want more of? We identify the narrative gems—the details, feelings, and turning points—that deserve more room to breathe.

Think of it as having friendly archaeologists help you excavate treasure that's already there in your story.

All Stories Welcome

Whether you've told stories on stages or only in your head while folding laundry, you belong here. Family memories, career turning points, adventures gone sideways, moments when everything changed—all of it matters.

Our only guidelines? Keep it 5-7 minutes and family-friendly. Beyond that, the territory is yours.

Maybe right now a particular memory is surfacing. Something funny from last week or profound from decades ago. Whatever it is, it's ready.

Join us on Tuesday, October 14th. Your story is waiting to meet its best version.
